Le Havre leader of Ligue 2, Grenoble new third

Thanks to a goal from Alioui, Le Havre took the lead in Ligue 2 this Saturday evening against Quevilly (0-1). Sochaux, beaten in Annecy (2-1), did not take advantage of Bordeaux’s faux pas in Nîmes earlier in the day (1-0) and was overtaken by Grenoble, third.

The teams at the top of the table rubbed their hands this Saturday evening after Bordeaux’s defeat at Nîmes (1-0). However, only Le Havre took advantage of the misstep of the Girondins. Faced with a brave team from Quevilly, it was Nabil Alioui who found the fault. The Frenchman (23) opened the scoring on the return from the locker room (53rd), allowing Le Havre to leave with three precious points in the race for the climb.

Sochaux, on the other hand, missed a great opportunity. Dauphin in the event of victory in Annecy, Olivier Guégan’s men broke their teeth in Annecy (2-1), relegated at kick-off. Sissoko, however, launched his team from the start of the match (7th) but the changes were paid for by the locals. Balde (71st) then Bosetti (81st), both entered on the hour mark, pierced the Sochaux lock to offer a prestigious victory to their public.

Another surprise on the side of Pau. Les Pau, stuck in the second half of the table, won against Amiens, fourth at kick-off. A counter-his-camp from Barry (4th) put the premises on the right track before Evans doubled the bet (67th). The note could have been even more salty if Koffi had scored his penalty (27th).

It was Grenoble who took advantage of these missteps to move up to third, after their victory at Rodez (1-0). Thanks to the first goal of Mamadou Diarra, defender who arrived this summer, the Isérois climbed to two points behind Bordeaux, runner-up. Rodez remains bogged down in the relegation zone, a pitiful 18th place.
